My Mum has quite a few blogs and in fact she works and earns her full income online.  So when I kept bugging her for money for one thing or another, she told me that I should start and frequently update a blog.  This is how my blog here at ben-teen.com originated.

Mum told me that I should count myself lucky, back in her younger days boys had to do newspaper rounds to earn some pocket money, now these days we can earn some money from home.  The other good thing about blogging is that it is fun and I can just blog about the things that I like, so why not do it!

I really had no idea how blogging to earn me money though but Mum assured me that it could and that she does it all the time.  That's when she got me to read 'Blogging To The Bank' and she sat with me and went through it to give me a bit of an understanding on how to set up a blog to make money with it.

Blogging To The Bank was really good and gave me some great ideas.  Believe it or not I made my first commission from my first blog within a few days and since then it has been going great.  We have a few blogs now about different topics, you can blog about absolutely anything, we have a blog about our pets and one about kids and we even recorded our trip around Australia on a blog.

So, my advice to any teenagers out there wanting to earn a bit extra money - start a blog.  I also advise you to read 'Blogging To The Bank' so that you can get a really good idea of how to set up your blogs right to optimize it for the search engines and for income.
